At Travis Club, every design decision has been guided by a deep respect for the Texas Hill Country. In this video, Beau Welling shares how the course was thoughtfully shaped around the land — preserving native flora and fauna, minimizing disturbance, and creating a golf experience that feels like a natural extension of its surroundings.
By incorporating water reclamation systems and limiting maintained turf to approximately 70–80 acres, compared to the 200 or more acres common on many golf courses, we're reducing water use while protecting the character of the landscape for generations to come.
Because the best golf courses don't simply exist in nature. They belong to it.
