Lions Municipal Golf Course is the first golf course in the south to racially desegregate, hosts over 60,000 rounds of golf each year, is home to hundreds of heritage trees and wildlife, and stages more charity tournaments than any other golf course in the Austin-area. It has been played by legends such as heavy-weight boxing champion Joe Louis, Masters champions Ben Hogan, Ben Crenshaw, Sergio Garcia & Scottie Scheffler, singer-songwriter Lukas Nelson, and actors Luke Wilson and Kyle Chandler. It is imperative that we save all 18-holes and 141-acres of Muny for the history of the course and the community who loves it.
