#100ReasonsToSaveMuny Lions Municipal was the first municipal golf course in the South to be peacefully integrated, when two young black caddies played the course in the fall of 1950, and Mayor Taylor Glass said “Let them play!” Muny became a place where all people, regardless of race, could meet and play golf together. Because of this, Lions is listed in the National Register of Historic Places for its role as a civil rights landmark. 💚
